Trying to get into Heaven or Trying to be a Christian

I have heard both of these phrases said since I have moved to Oklahoma. What it all comes down to is that trying to get into heaven or trying to be a christian doesn't work. You're in one of two conditions, saved or lost. You're a christian or not a christian. The only way into heaven is through salvation in Jesus Christ. You must be born again to see the kingdom of heaven. Read my posts on how you must be saved, or watch the videos I have linked to this blog. You'll see that there is nothing you have to try. The Lord made it so easy for us to get in, not some great challenge for us so that we can make it in. Jesus did the hardest part of all, bearing the cross for our sin.

What Are We?

Good question, but many seek the wrong sources for the truth. We are all members of the human race which was created by God. There are many who say that we didn't just appear here on Earth out of the blue. But at the same time they are willing to believe that all the planets, stars, solar systems, and the universe came from a sudden "big bang." Then somehow a comet hits the planet Earth and wallah, we have life. First of all man didn't pop up out of the blue anyway. God formed him from the very dirt of this planet. Then He breathed life into the man, then the man became a living being. Before God created man, He created all the other living creatures and plants on this planet. He spoke everything into existence. We live in a fallen world because of sin. Adam And Eve sinned, which brought about the sin nature we are all born with. We have no chance to live on without Jesus Christ in our lives. Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to Earth in the form of a man born from a virgin woman. He lived a life without sin to become the perfect sacrifice for all of us. His death on the cross was for the whole world, because all people have sinned and fall way short of God's glory. Jesus was also raised from the dead to give proof that He is the Son of God. Only by the blood of Jesus can our sins be atoned for. He is the only way that we can have eternal life, because we don't make it to heaven by good works or our own righteousness. Our righteousness is so filthy when compared to the righteousness of God, that we cannot even come close to Him. It's by the righteousness of Jesus Christ that we are able to be with Him, the righteous blood that was spilled at the foot of the cross for our sin. In order to receive this precious gift of eternal life, you must accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Confess Jesus Christ as Lord with your mouth and believe in your heart that He is the Son of God. Just saying a simple prayer doesn't get you saved. You must really believe and mean when you are asking the Lord Jesus Christ to save you from the very sin that separates us from God. It's because God loves us that He made a way for all of us to get into heaven and escape the wrath of hell which everyone of us deserves. All He asks you to do is love Him, accept the free gift which is His Son, and you make it to heaven. Accept His Son Jesus Christ and turn away from your sin, in other words repent, and you will become a child of God and have eternal life. It isn't hard to get to heaven, because God the Father through His Son made it easy for us to get into His kingdom. Jesus did the hard part, He took the punishment for us on the cross so that we wouldn't have to bear the burden of eternal torment. Accept His free gift and you will be saved. You have the choice to reject Him also, but I hope that isn't any one's final choice. Please hear His call and accept His Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The Lord Is Awesome!!!

I want to testify what the Lord has done for me. I have been struggling to get a job for quite a while in these hard economic times we're going thru. My bank account has practically been drained that I don't even have enough to pay next month's rent. I had applied for who knows how many companies to work with no success. We had a special guest preacher come and preach for our Sunday Church services. The whole congregation was told that whoever would walk around the church would get what they have a need in. At first I wouldn't go because I figured it wouldn't work for me, but then I felt an urge to do this as silly as it may sound. So I did several laps around the pews, and after it was all over, the preacher told me "you have a job now." Well today I have just been hired, and I give all praise to my God, because this happened a whole lot quicker than I imagined. Less than 24 hours from the time being told by the preacher, I have been hired to work. My God is truly Awesome, and I praise the wonderful name of Jesus. His timing is perfect, not ours. Blessed be the name of the Lord!!! Never give up on the LORD.

I'll be linking some vids thru YouTube on this blog. They are southern gospel songs that we sung while I was there. There are some with me playing piano in them, but only three where you will actually see me. I enjoyed playing music at this little church that Owen Sherron built. He used part of a house and garage to put it together. The pews came from an old theatre if my memory serves me correctly. I have had many blessed days in Full Gospel Mission Church. Definetly the best sounding and comfortable piano I ever played in my life. Several people have picked up instruments in this church and learned how to play without taking lessons. I learned the same way myself. We have experienced several miracles too, so we believe that God is still a powerful God to this day, and that He hasn't quit working miracles just because times are different. He is awesome, He still saves sinners, and to make it clear, Jesus is alive and well. Your Eternal Destiny Is A Matter Of Eternal Life Or Eternal Death.

If I were to die today I would go to H_____? This is a good question to pose to anyone on this planet. We all at one time or another have had to make some important decisions in our life. Even as a small child there were critical decisions in our life. Something as dangerous as walking out on a frozen pond is something many children have faced when their parents weren't in sight, or playing with matches. Well as grown adults, or even as teen-agers, we are all faced with the most important decision in our life. To chose Christ or deny Him. God has given us the choice whether or not we go to Heaven or Hell. I made my decision back in the year 2000, Jan 25. We have all fallen short of God's standards, we have all sinned. In other words we have all done some kind of evil, even if it's just a mere white lie we have told. And believe me, I have told my share of lies, whether it was for getting attention, or to get out of trouble. But now I have the Truth. JESUS CHRIST has taken the punishment that we all deserved. John 3:16 in the Bible says, "for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that who so ever believes Him will not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus wasn't crucified on the cross just because a bunch of religous leaders and a mob of people hated Him. This was His mission, this is the reason He became a man being born of a virgin(Mary). He is the Son of God and He gave His life as a ransom for all. Even though He knew many people then and now would reject Him as Lord and Savior, He still took up the cross for everyone of us. The proof was not only in the miracles that he did, but also God raising Him from the dead. If He was never raised, then we will all be doomed in our sin. Without the spilling of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin. Jesus laid down His life and suffered a horrific death on the cross so that we could be saved from eternal condemnation in Hell. People always ask me why would a loving God send people to Hell. What they fail to see is how loving He is for making a way so that we wouldn't have to go in the first place. This is the greatest expression of love you'll ever know. HE SUFFERED AND DIED TO SET US FREE FROM ALL THE SIN WE EVER COMMITTED AGAINST HIM. That is why a former slave trader wrote the hymn called "Amazing Grace." He knew with all the evil he had done that he should be in Hell right now. But God's love is so great that His Son died for even the worst of sinners. I can't find no greater love than that. Some movies make the cross not look so bad. In reality, no one could act it out perfectly because they haven't experienced the cross as Jesus and others did back in the days when the Romans used crucificion as a punishment for those found guilty of a crime. So if you or I could have seen Him crucified, then we would really see how much he loved us. All He's asking us is to receive Him as our Lord and Savior, believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Being raised from the dead is not an impossible feat for God. So just pray and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior, just believe with all your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and rose from the dead, and ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit and guide you and change you. Also confess you have sinned against Him. Turn away from living in sin, in other words repent. You don't have to pray some beautiful decorated prayer to get saved(born again). Just pray from the heart, that is all that matters to God. It's that easy to ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. This is the greatest decision you'll ever make in your life. Receive Him and believe Him. Romans 10:9 says Who ever confesses Christ with their mouth and believing with the heart will be saved. I probably paraphrased that verse, but it's close.
